Three more arrested in FA Cup crowd violence
LONDON (AP) -- London police have arrested three more people in relation to the crowd violence that marred the FA Cup semifinal match between Millwall and Wigan.
It takes the number of people arrested to 23, three of whom have been charged with various offenses.
Andy Barnes, detective chief inspector of the Metropolitan Police, says more arrests are expected to be made following an "excellent response from the public, who have identified people in nine of the 10 images already released.''
Millwall fans attacked police and fought among themselves at Wembley Stadium during and after their side's 2-0 loss to Wigan on April 13.
