Fiorentina to sell Stevan Jovetic to Man City

FLORENCE, Italy (AP) -- Fiorentina says the Serie A club has agreed a deal to sell striker Stevan Jovetic to Manchester City.

The deal is conditional on the 23-year-old Montenegro international agreeing personal terms with the Premier League club, Fiorentina said on its web site on Thursday.

City, which is just finishing a pre-season tour of South Africa, was not immediately available for comment.

British media reported that Jovetic's fee was 22 million pounds ($33.5 million).

Fiorentina's announcement came 24 hours after Spanish club Sevilla said it had agreed to sell its striker Alvaro Negredo to City.

The Manchester club has already signed winger Jesus Navas from Sevilla and Brazil's Fernandinho from Shakhtar Donetsk as it rebuilds under new coach Manuel Pellegrini, who has joined from Malaga.

Pellegrini previously coached Real Madrid and Villarreal.
