Originally considered by many as a dubious, money-driven nuisance, the FIFA Club World Championship now appears on its way to becoming a legitimate and prestigious prize. The championship run by Brazil's Corinthians and unexpected exploits of Mexico's Necaxa grabbed the attention of a skeptical media and showed the need for European clubs to shed some of their inherent arrogance, writes CNNSI.com's Gabriele Marcotti.
