Profile
The vastly-experienced keeper has edged out Marseille's Stephane Porato as the third keeper in the French squad, in what is sure to be his last major tournament. The Paris St Germain stopper is out of contract this summer and could bow out of football altogether after Euro 2000. Lama has just finished his second spell with the Paris club, having ventured to England with West Ham in between. He was the first-choice keeper for France for several years, before the emergence of Fabien Barthez, and has clocked up over forty appearances for Les Bleus. He was part of the France 98 squad and played three of the qualifiers for Euro 2000 when Barthez was missing and will relish the opportunity to go out on a high note at the very highest level.
