| Profile |
| The Real Madrid striker is an outside bet for the squad, but if selected has the ability to make a major impact if he gets the chance. He left PSG in France to join Arsenal in March 1997 as a teenager and he went on to mature as a world-class striker for Arsene Wenger's side, helping them win the Double in 1997/98. His personal peak came the following season as he netted 17 Premiership goals.
In the summer of 1999 he moved to Spain for a massive £22million and has been battling to justify the price tag ever since. He eventually got off the mark in the Primera Liga in the 3-0 win over bitter rivals Barcelona in the Bernabeu.
