| Profile |
| Having joined his former manager Arsene Wenger at Arsenal in the prelude to the start of the 1999/2000 season, Henry has filled the void left by the departure of fellow countryman Nicolas Anelka.
Having worked with Wenger as a teenager at Monaco, Henry developed into one of French football's hottest prospects. He earned himself a lucrative move to Italian giants Juventus during the 1998/99 season, but coach Carlo Ancelotti let him leave after a matter of months.
His major asset is his incredible pace, a feature of his play which often saw him play wide on the right for the Turin-based club, but his conversion to a central role has proved a masterstroke as he was among the leading scorers in England in the 1999/2000 season. His Highbury rebirth has catapulted him right back into the reckoning for the summer action.
