| A vastly experienced midfielder, Djorkaeff has been the long-term partner to Zinedine Zidane at the creative hub of the French midfield. Capped around 60 times for Les Bleus, Djorkaeff has scored a goal every three games for the national side.
Came to the fore at Monaco before moving to Paris St Germain in 1995, helping PSG to capture the European Cup Winners' Cup in his only season in the French capital and was one of France's stars at Euro 96. His class had alerted Serie A giants Internazionale, who took him to Italy in 1996 and he helped them win the UEFA Cup in 1998.
Djorkaeff appeared in every game of the 1998 World Cup finals and has remained a fixture in the side appearing in nine of the ten Euro 2000 qualifiers. He nows plays in the German Bundesliga with Kaiserslautern following a move from Italy in the summer of 1999.
