Fast track England coach eyes Bayern's HargreavesDERBY, England (AP) -- Sven-Goran Eriksson is ready to fast-track Bayern Munich midfield star Owen Hargreaves into the senior England squad. The 20-year-old has yet to play a competitive game for the England under-21 side and will miss the European Championship qualifier with Greece in Athens next week with an ankle problem. But his showings for Bayern against Real Madrid and in Wednesday's Champions League final triumph over Valencia have convinced Eriksson he can make the step up. Hargreaves is eligible for three countries because he has an English father and Welsh mother, while he was born in Canada. "I saw him in the semifinal and was very impressed. But when you see a player just once you do wonder 'has he just played the game of his life?'," Eriksson said. "But that wasn't the case. You saw that yesterday in the final. He was extremely good -- and going on last night he will not just be picked for the under-21s. "He will be picked for the senior team if he is that kind of player we have seen and if he plays like that. I will tell him how I feel about the way he has played and we don't want to lose him to someone else."
