When debating the subject of who is the world's best goalkeeper, one name will inevitably be mentioned -- Oliver Kahn.

With his consistent play over the years, Kahn has carved out a reputation as one of the best last lines of defense.

He's been with Bayern Munich since 1994 and has won nearly everything there is to win at club level, including the European Champions League.

With Kahn manning the goal, Bayern won three straight Bundesliga titles and the 2001 Champions League crown.

This summer, Kahn will be called on for more heroics.

The 32-year-old will be making his third World Cup roster, but this year, for the first time, he will be Germany's first-choice keeper.

Kahn said he learned a lot as World Cup reserve keeper in '94 and '98, and that Germany is keen to improve on its dismal showing at Euro 2000.

Kahn, who has been capped 42 times, is now Germany's undisputed leader -- driven by success.

He's hoping to leave another indelible mark in the Far East as the Germans set out to join Brazil as the only four-time World Cup champions.

World Sport, the sports news show that airs on CNN International, previewed many of the individuals expected to shine at the World Cup.
