There was huge celebration in the world's most populous country after China qualified for its first World Cup, and much of their success was down to the talents and direction of non-Chinese national coach Bora Milutinovic.

The Yugoslav has already performed World Cup magic with Mexico, Costa Rica, the United States and most recently Nigeria -- steering them each through to the second round. The 57-year-old guaranteed qualification for China, with games in hand, after his team's 1-0 victory over Oman.

While the Chinese fans are ecstatic at qualification, winning the World Cup with China would be a dream come true for Milutinovic. But he knows that that day is a long way off.

"Best-case scenario, we'd be world champions," he said. "This is the best way, you go to the World Cup, but you also need to be realistic.

"It's so easy to say this is the best, but we need to play the game; we need to do our best, and after, we see."

The man affectionately known as "Milu" to the adoring Chinese fans will be hopeful that he can perform his magic on another World Cup-bound team.

World Sport, the sports news show that airs on CNN International, previewed many of the individuals expected to shine at the World Cup.
