Two-time Asian footballer of the year Hidetoshi Nakata has a lot of pressure on his shoulders. The Parma midfielder is expected to lead Japan to the second round in front of millions of fans in his home nation. Everyone is aware of this, including manager Philippe Troussier. "Yes, Nakata is an important man in the working of the Japanese national team," Troussier said. "He is part of a very promising group of players. "He is an ambassador for Japanese football in Italy and in Europe. He's a player with great character and maturity, and I believe that we should treat him as a great example to the game." Nakata, who made a name for himself in the '98 finals, became the first Asian Player to star in Italy's Serie A when he moved to perugia. He has since played at champion Roma and currently represents Parma. Already an idol in Japan, Nakata can become a legend by leading the country into the last 16. World Sport, the sports news show that airs on CNN International, previewed many of the individuals expected to shine at the World Cup.
