Mexico's Marquez banned for four matches
YOKOHAMA, Japan, June 27 (Reuters) - Rafael Marquez of Mexico was banned for four matches after being sent off in the second round match against the United States at the World Cup for head-butting. FIFA announced on Thursday that Robert Acuna of Paraguay will be suspended for two matches after being red-carded in the second round match against Germany. Marquez, also fined 8,000 Swiss francs ($5,358), was sent off shortly before the end of the 2-0 defeat by the U.S. on June 17 for head-butting Cobi Jones as both jumped for a high ball. Acuna hit Germany's Michael Ballack in an off-the-ball incident in the dying seconds of Paraguay's 1-0 defeat by Germany on June 15. He was fined 5,000 Swiss francs.
