JEONJU, South Korea (Ticker) -- Paraguay gets goalkeeper Jose Luis Chilavert back against Spain and hopes to prevent errors that saw them waste a two-goal lead in the opening match with South Africa.

Chilavert served the last of a three-match ban from international soccer for spitting at Brazil's Roberto Carlos in a qualifying match.

The outspoken Chilavert has fueled this match with the usual verbal rhetoric, but look for Spain to answer that on the field.

The goalkeeper has stated his desire to score from either a penalty shot or one of his trademark free kicks -- or even both -- against Spaniard goalkeeper Iker Cassilas. The 33-year-old keeper practiced numerous free kicks during training. He has scored 58 goals in his career.

Chilavert claimed Spain is not that strong of a team as they qualified by beating the likes of Israel and Liechtenstein.

Paraguay played to a disappointing 2-2 draw with South Africa in the opening match, conceding a penalty kick late in injury time.

Spain started much better by ending a 52-year victory drought in a 3-1 result over Slovenia. An in-form Spanish squad showed they may be ready to get rid of the long underachiever tag at the World Cup.

Raul, Juan Carlos Veron and Fernando Hiero were the scorers and pressured the lackluster Slovenia throughout.

These two countries have met once before in the 1998 World Cup tournament when they played to a scoreless tie.
