COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) -- Brian Laudrup, Denmark's key striker, has decided to quit soccer three days after Denmark lost 3-2 to Brazil in a World Cup quarterfinal, Danish radio said Monday.

Laudrup is leaving the turf at the same time as his older brother, Michael, who ended his 17-year career after the tournament in France.

Danish radio quoted the 29-year-old striker as saying he was "satiated with soccer."

Brian Laudrup, who played for the Glasgow Rangers, joined the Danish side in 1987 and scored 21 goals in 82 matches.

He could not immediately be reached for comment.
