LONDON (Reuters) -- Dutch World Cup striker Patrick Kluivert is set to move to Arsenal from AC Milan next season, Britain's Sunday Mirror said.

The newspaper said Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger wanted Kluivert to replace Ian Wright, who suggested on Saturday that he was ready to leave the London side after seven years.

The Sunday Mirror said Arsenal were prepared to offer the 22-year-old Kluivert, who scored in the Netherlands ' 2-1 win over Argentina on Saturday, 30,000 pounds ($49,000) a week.

Kluivert was linked with a move to Arsenal in January but AC Milan said then there were no plans for his departure. The striker was reportedly unhappy about abuse from the Italian club's fans.

Wright, 35, told British television on Saturday: "I just feel that maybe it's time now to start to look at some different avenues."

He added: "I still have a lot to offer and if it is not Arsenal then it will have to be somewhere else. The club is moving in a different direction and I'm not sure I will be a focal point for too much longer. "
