Brief reports of German first division soccer matches: Played on Sunday: Bayern Munich 2, Bayer Leverkusen 0 Midfielder Michael Tarnat put Bayern ahead from inside the penalty area after 20 minutes and Brazilian striker Elber scored the home side's other goal 10 minutes later, also from close range. The visitors were reduced to 10 men when Croatian defender Robert Kovac was sent off for bringing down Elber just outside the box in the 76th minute. Played on Saturday: VfL Wolfsburg 4, MSV Duisburg 2 Wolfsburg recaptured its winning habits after being crushed 3-0 by Bayer Leverkusen last weekend, using two goals from Polish striker Andrzej Juskowiak to tame MSV Duisburg. Midfielders Detlev Dammeier and Charles Akonnor scored the home side's other goals. The visitors were 2-0 down when they scored through an own goal by Wolfsburg's Polish midfielder Krzysztof Nowak in the 57th minute. They trailed 3-1 when midfielder Uwe Spies scored their other goal in the 75th minute. Schalke 04 2, TSV 1860 Munich 2 Striker Markus Schroth put the visitors in front just before the break and Austrian midfielder Harald Cerny used a blunder from Schalke defender Yves Eigenrauch to make it 2-0 four minutes into the second half. Schalke fought back with a goal from playmaker Sven Kmetsch in the 73rd minute and snatched a draw with an own goal from TSV 1860 midfielder Marco Kurz in the dying moments. Werder Bremen 2, VfB Stuttgart 2 VfB Stuttgart led 1-0 at halftime thanks to a goal from defender Thomas Schneider in the 21st minute. Bremen then scored twice in three minutes, through Bernhard Trares and Marco Bode in the 62nd and 65th minutes respectively, to build a 2-1 lead. Striker Fredi Bobic equalized for the visitors in the 69th minute. SC Freiburg 1, Nuremberg 0 Georgian midfielder Levan Kobiaschwili scored the winner for Freiburg in the 36th minute. Nuremberg was reduced to 10 men when midfielder Heiko Gerber was sent off for a vicious tackle in the 78th minute. Hansa Rostock 3, VfL Bochum 0 Striker Neuville gave Rostock the lead in the 21st minute. Bochum then lost defender Frank Fahrenhorst for a second bookable offense in the 43rd minute. Pole Slawomir Majak put the home side 2-0 up in the 78th minute before Neuville sealed their victory four minutes from time. Kaiserslautern 2, Eintracht Frankfurt 1 A last-minute goal from Egyptian defender Hany Ramzy gave Kaiserslautern its seventh win in succession. Midfielder Michael Ballack opened the scoring for the champions in the fourth minute. Yugoslav striker Damir Stojak leveled for the visitors in the 74th minute. Played on Friday: Borussia Dortmund 1, Borussia Moenchengladbach 1 Russian midfielder Vladimir But put Dortmund in front after 18 minutes and Austrian striker Toni Polster equalized six minutes later. Dortmund midfielder Thomas Haessler missed a penalty in the 76th minutes. The visitors were reduced to 10 men with one minute left when Croatian midfielder Zeljko Sopic was sent off for a second bookable offense. Hamburg SV 0, Hertha Berlin 4 Newcomer Piotr Reiss, who just joined from Polish first division Lech Poznan, showed Hertha Berlin the way by opening the scoring from close range in the 22nd minute. Playmaker Dariusz Wosz made it 2-0 for the visitors from 16 metres five minutes into the second half.
