FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) -- Werder Bremen clinched its first victory under new coach Felix Magath when it beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 on goals by Andreas Herzog and Rade Bogdanovic in a Bundesliga game Friday.

Four weeks into his new job, Magath's team earned its second victory of the season in a battle of two teams fighting to rise from the bottom of the Bundesliga standings.

Herzog scored in the 47th and Bogdanovic, the Yugoslav striker, notched the second in the 73rd.

In another game, Schalke ended a seven-game run without a victory by beating Dusiburg 2-0.

Rene Eijkelkamp gave Schalke the lead in the 36th and he set up Michael Goossens' game winner in the 59th.
