Brazilian duo gives Real Madrid 3-1 win over Rosenborg

MADRID, Dec 7 (Reuters) -- Two goals in the last five minutes from Brazilians Savio and Roberto Carlos enabled Real Madrid to snatch a 3-1 Champions League win against Norway's Rosenborg Trondheim on Tuesday.

Savio, arguably Real Madrid's top player, played a clever one-two with Fernando Morientes five minutes before time, blasting the ball home with a tremendous left-footed shot from just inside the area.

Roberto Carlos exploited Rosenborg's weakness down the left side with an individual effort to get Real Madrid's third goal, just as the game was going into injury time.

Real, on top of group C in the second phase of the competition, had been given an early lift when Raul Gonzalez was on hand to slot home in the 17th minute after Rosenborg goalkeeper Jorn Jamtfall failed to hold a Savio shot.

However, Real Madrid's woeful defense again let it down as John Carew found the space to head home an equalizer from a Bent Skammelsrud corner just two minutes after halftime.

Three sent off in Feyenoord's win over Marseille

Feyenoord recovered from having captain Kees van Wonderen sent off in the seventh minute to beat Olympique Marseille 3-0 in a Champions League group D match on Tuesday -- thanks to two second half goals by Julio Cruz.

Paul Bosvelt also scored, as the home side netted three times in the last 18 minutes against a French side reduced to nine men by the final whistle.

Van Wonderen was shown the red card after a professional foul on Marseille striker Florian Maurice, who was bursting through on goal.

In the 62nd minute Marseille defender Yannick Fischer was sent off after being booked twice and in the 79th minute fullback Sebastien Perez followed his Marseille teammate, also after collecting two yellow cards.

Four minutes after Fischer was sent off, Cruz opened the score with a perfect curled shot into the top left corner from just outside the box.

Bosvelt doubled the score with a diving header in the 83rd minute after Bonaventure Kalou hit the crossbar and the ball bounced back into play. Cruz added his second and Feyenoord's third two minutes into injury time.

Feyenoord is third in group D, one point behind Lazio and Chelsea, who drew 0-0. Marseille is pointless.
