MOSCOW (Reuters) -- Russia coach Oleg Romantsev has recalled Spartak Moscow goalkeeper Alexander Filimonov, who has missed almost five months with a serious knee injury, for Wednesday's friendly against the United States.

Filimonov, who has not played since injuring his knee in a UEFA Cup game against Leeds United in early December, joined 20 other players for a mini-training camp in Moscow on Sunday. The goalkeeper was among the reserve players in Saturday's premier division derby against CSKA.

Spartak striker Maxim Buznikin was the only newcomer to the squad.

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Alexander Filimonov (Spartak Moscow), Ruslan Nigmatullin (Lokomotiv Moscow), Yevgeny Kornyukhin (Torpedo Moscow)

Defenders: Dmitry Khlestov (Spartak Moscow), Viktor Onopko (Oviedo), Igor Chugainov and Andrei Solomatin (both Lokomotiv Moscow), Omari Tetradze (PAOK Thessaloniki), Maxim Demenko (Zenit St Petersburg)

Midfielders: Alexander Mostovoi and Valery Karpin (both Celta Vigo), Dmitry Alenichev (Perugia), Yegor Titov and Andrei Tikhonov (both Spartak Moscow), Alexei Smertin (Lokomotiv Moscow), Dmitry Khokhlov (Real Sociedad), Vladimir But (Borussia Dortmund)

Strikers: Vladimir Beschastnykh (Racing Santander), Sergei Semak (CSKA Moscow), Alexander Panov (Zenit St Petersburg), Maxim Buznikin (Spartak Moscow).
