| A left-sided defender or midfielder Jamie Clapham has become a huge favourite at Portman Road during his time at the club.Prior to arriving in Suffolk Clapham spent three and a half seasons with Tottenham Hotspur but only made one substitute appearance for Spurs.After arriving at Ipswich in the 1997/98 season primarily as a defender he has become a much more confident and attacking type of midfielder with an onus for playing on the left.With the rarity in football of being left-footed, pin-point crosses have become a speciality from the man that cost just £300,000, which now looks money well spent. |
