| Bradford-born Cadamarteri burst onto the Goodison Park scene during the 1997/98 season, with Everton struggling with a number of injuries to their recognised strikers.An impish player with explosive pace, the instantly recognisable forward was immediately taken to by Evertonians, who delighted in having a dreadlocked star at their club.Despite showing the tigerish, hustle and bustle qualities of many a young striker, he has been unable to consistently find the target, leading to him being employed more as a substitute than as a first-choice hitman.Having shaved his trademark dreadlocks, Cadamarteri will be looking to establish himself at the club, but although he has shown much promise manager Walter Smith does not appear entirely convinced.With the breakthrough at the club of new teen sensation Francis Jeffers, Everton have found a new darling of the terraces, leaving Cadamarteri with an uphill struggle in his bid to secure first-team action. He was loaned out to Fulham in November 1999 where he netted once in five appearances. |
