| Paul Wright |
Kilmarnock Born: 8/17/67 Hometown: East Kilbride |
| The veteran forward scored the goal that brought the Scottish Cup to Rugby Park in 1997, a goal for which he will always be revered. He began his chequered career at Aberdeen, before heading to QPR. The unsuccessful, if educational, spell lasted just one season before he moved to Easter Road in 1989. Alex Totten signed him for St.Johnstone in 1991, and he finally landed at Rugby Park in 1994, when he moved for a club record fee of £340,000. The 'B' international is tremendously popular with the Killie faithful, but he was unfortunate to miss part of the 1998/99 season due to injury. |
