| Magnus Hedman |
Coventry Born: 3/19/73 Hometown: Stockholm |
| Signed during the 1997 close season, Hedman had to bide his time at first at Highfield Road after his move from AIK Solna.Although signed primarily as a replacement for Steve Ogrizovic, it wasn't until December that he actually got his chance to replace the Coventry stalwart. He went on to establish himself in the side until picking up a hamstring injury that saw him miss a month of the season.A good shot-stopper who is extremely agile, Hedman started 42 games for the Sky Blues in the 1998/99 season, turning in man-of-the-match performances in City's last two games of the season. He has become the natural replacement for Thomas Ravelli as Sweden's goalkeeper and was the number one choice for his country at Euro 2000. |
