| Robertson is another capable deputy for Alan Main. He emerged from the youth team - where he had actually played outfield from time to time - and made his Premier League debut on February 21st 1998 against Aberdeen when asked to step in for the injured Alan Main. He also had a brief spell on loan to Hamilton in 1998, where he put in a few impressive performances, including a shut-out. Stephen was called up to the Scotland U21 squad in March 2000, and has been tipped as a name to watch out for in the future. He played at Ibrox last season following an injury to Main, and retained his spot until the first choice keeper returned to duty. He recently signed a new 12-month deal with the club. |
