| Lubo was dismissed as a joke signing when he arrived from MSV Duisburg in November 1998. However the 75 times capped veteran silenced his critics with some stunning displays, clearly Dr Venglos' shrewdest signing at only £300,000. Missed when injured, he controls the midfield play and possesses a lethal shot with either foot. Links well with Larsson and has an almost telepathic understanding with him. This was proved when Celtic routed Rangers 5-1 in November 1998. The 1999-2000 season is likely to be his last, but it is expected that he will assist Venglos in monitoring Celtic's feeder club in Slovakia. |
