| Matthew Jones was one of the exciting bunch of players that won the FA Youth Cup for Leeds in 1997.He managed to break into the first team in the 1998-99 season, and did not disappoint those who had predicted a bright future for the Welshman.His pace and skills on the ball in midfield have earned him recognition for Wales at full international level.His first team debut was in Leeds' 2-1 win at Aston Villa, where he made an immediate impression, showing remarkable maturity at such an early stage in his career.
