Gunnar Halle
Bradford
Born: 8/11/65
Hometown: Oslo
Experienced Norwegian international who was George Graham's first signing at Elland Road in 1996. Halle made his name under Joe Royle at Oldham. He played a key role in the Latics dramatic rise into English football's top-flight. A regular between 1992-96, Halle left for Leeds where his versatility and combative spirit made him a great favourite with Graham.A very consistent performer, Halle has over 60 caps for Norway. He played in the 1-1 draw against Scotland in the 1998 World Cup. Aged 34 when signing for Bradford City in 1999, he found it difficult to settle immediately but as the season wore on Halle's form improved appreciably. Although he enjoyed plenty of first team football with City in the Premiership he didn't manage to make Euro 2000 for his country.
