| Tim Flowers |
Leicester Born: 2/03/67 Hometown: Kenilworth |
| Tim Flowers has spent most of the 1990's as one of England's top keepers and enjoyed the sweet taste of Premiership success with Blackburn Rovers in the 1994-95 championship season. After finding himself in the cold at Blackburn after injury and a loss of form saw him displaced by John Filan, the former England hopeful sought a move from Ewood Park. The summer of 1999 saw him get his wish and the chance to rebuild his career with Leicester.Although a consistent performer at club level, Flowers can be regarded as a nearly-man on the international scene.Just as Chris Woods served as understudy to Peter Shilton, Flowers has spent much of his time in the shadow of David Seaman and more recently lost his place on the international scene altogether. His form at Filbert Street has though been outstanding and once more in the 200/2001 season been touted for an England recall. |
