| This powerfully-built striker is expected to feature more prominently for Hearts this year after a successful spell on loan to Raith Rovers in 1998/99.Useful in the air and with an explosive shot, Holmes is a handful for defenders in the penalty area.Still not the finished article, his unpredictability can work in his favour at times.Scored a European goal when he came on as a substitute in last season's 5-0 home win over Lantana. He also scored a valuable goal the following month when was on target against Ross County in the League Cup which enabled Hearts to scramble through on penalties.Gives Jim Jefferies a different option in attack and will be keen to carve out a future for himself at Tynecastle. |
