| Jason Wilcox |
Leeds Born: 7/15/71 Hometown: Bolton |
| Unsung winger Jason Wilcox joined Leeds United in a shock £3million switch from Blackburn Rovers in December 1999.Having provided the Lancashire club with more than 10 years' service, his Ewood Park career ended disappointingly when he became a target for the boo-boys during Brain Kidd's unsuccessful reign at the club. The move to Leeds gave Wilcox a fresh chance to establish himself in the top flight and he settled in well at Elland Road.He also caught the eye of England manager Kevin Keegan, and impressed in a friendly against Argentina at Wembley in February 2000.Injury struck unfortunately, and Wilcox was missing for the opening three months of the 2000/2001season, that was particularly disappointing after he'd made such a promising start to his Elland Road career. |
