| Darren Eadie |
Leicester Born: 6/10/75 Hometown: Chippenham |
| Darren Eadie was re-united with his old Norwich boss and mentor Martin O'Neill when he moved to Filbert Street in December 1999 for £3million.The speedy winger/attacking midfielder became Leicester's record signing after being pursued by O'Neill for some time. His acceleration and ability to beat players make the former England Under-21 international a dangerous opponent, though he is still to prove himself at the highest level.Eadie's rapid progress from the rank of trainee made him a popular figure at Carrow Road, but his career was interrupted in 1998-99 when he suffered knee trouble and had to undergo two operations. The good news for Leicester is that he made a full recovery and his dad is a confirmed Leicester fan! |
