| Scot Gemmill |
Everton Born: 1/02/71 Hometown: Paisley |
| After nine years at Nottingham Forest, Gemmill made a surprise deadline day move to Everton in 1999.The son of Scottish international Archie, Scott is a tidy midfielder with a keen eye for an opening. At the City Ground he showed he was a good all-round player, able to show some creativity but also having an excellent engine.Having broken into the Scottish side himself, Gemmill seemed to have lost his way somewhat at the City Ground. It was probably a good time for him to move, as Walter Smith was desperate to boost his midfield with a non-existent budget.Gemmill was called into Scotland's France 98 squad but was unable to add to his 13 international caps.During his time at Goodison Park Gemmill has not become a first team regular but typically, when called upon, does an admirable job. |
