| The England Under-21 international is a pacey wing-back who signed a three-and-a-half year deal at Filbert Street and made 18 Premiership appearances for Leicester in 1998-99 following his transfer.Impey made his name at QPR where he was well known for his speed and versatility. He played on the left or right-hand side at Loftus Road and was even known to appear as an emergency striker.His stay at Upton Park following his £1.3million transfer to West Ham was far from enjoyable. He endured a succession of injuries which meant he was unable to cement his place in the first team.After just over a year with the Hammers in which he failed to score a goal, Harry Redknapp decided it was time to let the Hammersmith-born player leave for a small profit.His hard-working style, combined with his pace, has made him a useful asset to the Leicester squad. |
