| The German goalkeeper signed for Rangers for £700,000 from Borussia Dortmund on Christmas Eve 1998 after a long-running transfer saga. When he arrived, Klos immediately acted as a replacement for the injured Charbonnier, but Rangers' interest in him had lasted over a year. The 'keeper was involved in a contractual dispute with Dortmund, and had to eventually make a financial contribution to buy out his contract so that he could play for Rangers. Klos has a plethora of experience on the European stage, and was in the 1997 Champions' Cup winning team that beat Juventus 3-1. Won over the Rangers fans with a string of fine performance in the 99-00 season, particularly a few formidable displays against Celtic. |
