| The young goalkeeper played for Kilmarnock's Youth team before breaking into the first eleven. Excellent performances by Gordon Marshall have prevented him from making the Number One shirt his own, but this has not hampered his progress. Meldrum has enjoyed loan spells at Stranraer and Ross County, and such were his performances that he won a number of caps at Under-21 level. The experience which he has accumulated at Stair Park and Victoria Park should stand him in good stead when he is called upon to take his place in the Kilmarnock goal on a more regular basis. |
