| Born in nearby Romford, Frank is an attacking central midfielder. He has a good engine and is always looking to get forward having a good goalscoring record. His father, Frank senior, played for the club with distinction and is now assistant manager.Lampard made his debut towards the end of the 1995/96 season but had a setback in 1997 when he broke his leg which sidelined him for the entire season. Frank junior scored ten goals from midfield in the 1997/98 season and after producing consistently powerful performances, went on to represent England at Under-21 level where he has had the honour of captaining the side.He made his full international England debut in October 1999 against Belgium. |
