| Trevor Benjamin joined the Foxes on the back of an outstanding season in Nationwide Division Two for Cambridge United when he finished as top scorer with 23 goals.Although several clubs were interested in capturing the big man he plumped for Leicester and cost the Filbert Street outfit £1million.Signed at the same time as Ade Akinbiyi, the powerfully built striker is in a very similar mould to his new team-mate. A strongly built, competitive performer but he has a few more rough edges that need ironing out, before he can be considered a first team regular with the Midlands side.The early part of his Leicester career was spent in the reserves but raw potential rather than the finished article was what City boss Peter Taylor took on. |
