| When the opposition comes to town fans always scrutinise the programme for names they may recognise and very often fear.Kevin Horlock is one such name who supporters will immediately associate as a player likely to pop up with a goal from the midfield and one who has a shoot that possesses venom.After being named as the City captain in his first term with the club during the 1996/97 season Horlock suffered a bad knee injury that led to a four-month absence from first team action. However, he has since recovered to become an integral part of City's climb to their eventual Premiership status.Something of a free-kick expert Horlock is always looking to get on the end of the bits and pieces around the penalty area. Formerly with Swindon Town, he has broken into the international set-up with Northern Ireland, where he has proved a valuable member of the squad. |
