| Muzzy Izzet is a right-footed midfielder who produces energetic performances week after week for the Foxes and is an integral part of Martin O'Neill's hard-running team.Izzet was eligible to play for either England or Turkey but has set his sights on the latter.He started his career at Stamford Bridge, but was unable to break into the Chelsea first team. He never actually started a match for Chelsea before moving to Leicester on transfer deadline day in 1996.The Blues' loss has been Leicester's gain, and Izzet has become a firm favourite with the home fans, securing the 1997-98 Player of the Season award after a number of match-winning performances.Izzet epitomises the Leicester spirit. His never-say-die attitude combined with his sound technical ability make him a perfect Martin O'Neill player.Izzet has often been criticised for his lack of goals, but when they do come they tend to be spectacular. |
