| Eoin Jess |
Bradford Born: 12/13/70 Hometown: Aberdeen |
| Jess is a huge favourite of the Aberdeen fans. As a local lad, he began his career at Pittodrie but moved to Coventry City in 1996. Eoin failed to settle, and after 39 appearances and just one goal for Coventry, he returned to the Granite City. In his second spell at the club, Eoin adopted a deeper, more midfield role before reverting to a forward role, where he struck up an impressive partnership with Robbie Winters. Disappointed at just missing out on a place with the Scotland squad that went to France in 1998, Eoin bounced back and forced himself back into Craig Brown's plans for the European Championships. However, Jess has struggled to keep clear of injuries and as a result has failed to be the leading light the Dons fans expected.A fall out with manager Ebbe Skovdahl led to Jess being shipped out to Bradford City on a three-month loan agreement. He made an immediate impact on his Bantams debut on New Years day 2001, scoring the first goal in City's 2-1win at Leicester City. |
