| Williamson quickly established himself as a first-team regular when he joined Everton from West Ham in September 1997.His midfield skills and passing ability earned him a growing reputation, but in December of that year he suffered hamstring and foot injuries that sidelined him for the rest of the season.Since then he has suffered a series of injury setbacks, and has found it difficult to break back into the first team.Indeed, during the 1999/2000 season the luckless midfielder didn't play a league game for Everton. |
