| Mooney made his name at Scarborough soon after they entered the league, alongside the prolific Darren Foreman and earned himself a move to Southend for the 1993/94 season.He moved on to Watford after only eight months at Roots Hall and has become a crowd favourite at Vicarage Road.At first he was a striker, but has moved back in recent seasons and now operates on the left side of midfield and has been known to play in the centre of defence.He still contributes goals to the Hornets' cause, his double at Port Vale being crucial to his side's promotion campaign. He is one of the side's most experienced pros and a true leader by example on the field of play. |
