Can also operate as a hard-working wing-back and it was this position he made his own during the 1997/98 season.Carr is keen to get forward and likes to take on and beat opponents. He is also very committed in the tackle when defending.Has graduated into the Republic of Ireland squad and has benefited from being alongside the likes of Denis Irwin and Roy Keane.Rival clubs have shown interest in the reliable Irishman, particularly West Ham, but Carr looks likely to remain at White Hart Lane for the forseeable future.His excellent form continued into season 2000/2001 with some outstanding and consistent displays. |
