After the 2-2 draw against Atalanta last week, Lazio had to

win against Perugia. It was Lazio's first match with the

'golden duo' Claudio Lopez and Hernan Crespo.

In the first half Lazio scored one goal through Crespo. He

pleased the Italian fans by scoring his first. Crespo netted the goal after an assist from Pavel Nedved.

After half-time Lazio created some chances, but they could not score a goal from those opportunities.

Perugia had a very big opportunity just after half-time, but

Perugia defender Pierini failed to score the equalizer as

Peruzzi saved.

Perugia missed their Chinese midfielder Ma Myung, who is playing with the national team in the Asia Cup in Tripoli. Milanese and Petrarchi were still injured. Nevertheless Perugia created some chances.

Twenty minutes after the Perugia chance, Lazio scored the

second goal and decided the game. After a foul on Nedved,

Mihajlovic scored his second goal of this season from a

penalty.

In the 69th minute Crespo was replaced by Simone Inzaghi, who scored the third goal and gave Lazio three important points and the first victory this season.
