Soccer Recaps
Brescia 0, Parma 0
October 15, 2000
Parma got their second draw in a row after their match against promoted side Brescia. The match was played on an almost unplayable pitch, which made it very difficult for both sides to make it a good match.

The first big chance of the match came when a shot by Portuguese player Fabio Conceicaowho had already scored for his country against Holland on Wednesday, was saved by

keeper Pavel Srnicek.

Parma thought to have scored in the final minutes of the first half, but although Yugoslav striker Savo Milosevic put the ball into the net, the goal was disallowed by referee Nucini

because Savo Milosevic was in an offside position.

Brescia put on a rather poor performance througout the match and they only managed to create one single chance during the first half.

Early in the second half Sabri Lamouchi almost gave the visitors the lead. But his effort went past the wrong side of the post.

Diego Fuser, who had come on as a substitute, was not able to hit the target.

The only dangerous moment for Parma keeper Gianluigi Buffon in the second half came when a free-kick by Brescia's summer signing, former Italy international player Roberto Baggio, was saved by the Parma keeper.

Brescia are now in 14th spot in the table, with one point

from two matches played.

Parma are in the 11th spot, but they proved last year that

they are a team that goes up the table as the season progresses.
