| With a double strike Simone Inzaghi gave Lazio the win against Brescia, who had taken a surprise lead very early in the game.
Lazio needed a good result, as they had started the season rather poorly, with only four points from three matches. They had lost last week against Verona.
Lazio, whose coach Sven Göran Eriksson yesterday anounced he will become the England coach at the end of the season, started the match very well, as could be expected.
A cross by Paolo Negro was cleared by the Brescia defence with a lot of difficulty.
But after only four minutes Brescia were awarded a penalty. It was Swiss striker Kubilay Turkyilmaz who was brought down inside the box by Portuguese defender Fernando Couto.
The resulting penalty was converted by striker Dario Hübner, who notched his second goal of the season.
Lazio then increased the pressure on their opponents. Czech player Pavel Nedved almost scored, but his shot went against the crossbar.
Inzaghi first headed wide from close range and then was denied by a save from Brescia keeper Pavel Srnicek.
After 33 minutes Lazio were level with Brescia again. Alessandro Calori brought down Inzaghi and it was Inzaghi himself who scored the equaliser from the spot.
Srnicek denied a thunderous blast by Nedved just before the break.
Lazio started the second half were the had left off, as they continued to pressurise Brescia.
The pressure resulted in the games winning goal in the 78th minute. The goal was scored by again Inzaghi, who is now on four for the season.
