Reggina 0, Brescia 3
November 26, 2000
Trouble seems be even more of a problem with every match for Reggina. Today's game against Brescia was brought to a premature close by referee Collina in the 84th minute, after unhappy fans in the stands started rioting.

The win today was only the first of the season for Brescia, who welcomed back their superstar Roberto Baggio. They havesix points from eight games now, which puts them in 15th place on the table.

Reggina are now rock bottom and things have to change fast if they do not want to play in Serie B next season.

The home side played well in the first half, putting a lot of pressure on Brescia.

Brescia created themselves one good scoring opportunity during the first 45 minutes, when Calori was denied by Reggina goalkeeper Massimo Taibi.

At the start of the second half Reggina continued their attacking play, creating a couple of chances.

But it was Brescia that took the lead 10 minutes after the interval through Francesco Marino, who put the ball into the opponent's net from a tight angle after a pass by Baggio. It was the first goal of the season for Marino.

The visitors doubled the lead in the 70th minute when defender Alessandro Calori put the ball high into the Reggina goal, to score his first goal of the season.

Things got even worse for the home side in the 82nd minute of the game. It was midfielder Massimiliano Esposito who scored the third Brescia goal of the afternoon with a diving header after a brilliant cross by Baggio.

Two minutes after the third goal referee Collina called it quits, when Reggina fans began to cause trouble from the stands.
