Streak: Lost 2 Next Game: at VfL Wolfsburg, February 23 The Lions suffered a painful 3-0 home defeat to Berlin last weekend... 1860's defence failed to control former German international Michael Preetz, who regained his shooting touch and found the back of the net in the 12th and 49th minute. Stefan Beinlich also contributed a goal shortly after half-time, which was when the game was already decided... 1860, stuck on rank nine with 33 points, are far beyond good and bad and are not expected to go anywhere this season. A place in the UI-Cup should be possible, though... Having lost three out of the last tour games, some insiders believe there's some disruption between playmaker Thomas Haessler and coach Peter Pacult. Both sides, however, tried to play down the rumours, insisting there wouldn't be any problems at all... With forward Daniel Bierofka being highly courted by several top teams (including Schalke and Leverkusen) and most likely parting ways at the end of the season, the Lions might pursue Marcel Ketelaer of Hamburg... Marco Kurz (ankle), Bernhard Winkler (back), Samuel Ipoua (Achilles), Markus Schroth and Achim Pfuderer (both not game-fit) will sit out the road game at Wolfsburg.
