TEAM NOTES
Coach: Arsene Wenger (since September 1996) Premiership
Record: 4-0-2
Rank: 1st, 14 points
Last Result: 3-0 win at Charlton Athletic, Sept. 14
Streak: Won 2 Next Game: vs. Bolton Wanderers, Sept. 21 Champions League Last Result: 2-0 win vs. Borussia Dortmund, Sept. 17 Next Game: at PSV Eindhoven, Sept. 25 Arsenal is still one point clear of Tottenham Hotspur at the top of the Premiership thanks to a 3-0 win at Charlton Athletic. Goals by Thierry Henry (44th minute), Sylvain Wiltord (67th) and Edu (88th) ensured the Gunners set a new record for scoring in their 45th consecutive top-flight game. Only Chesterfield, with 46, has managed more in the whole of the professional league. ... The Football Association stated no action would be taken against Henry after an alleged elbowing incident involving Charlton's John Robinson. The FA launched an inquiry after referee Steve Dunn missed the incident. But a statement published on the FA's website said: "The matter has not been referred to the Video Advisory Panel and the investigation is now closed." .. On Tuesday evening, Highbury delighted in Arsenal's 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in its Champions League opener. Dennis Bergkamp broke the deadlock with a deflected shot in the second half before Freddie Ljungberg marked his comeback from injury with a superb goal, finishing off a four-man move that involved David Seaman, Wiltord and Henry. ... Last season's home game against Bolton Wanderers ended in a 1-1 tie. Prior to that, the Gunners had won their previous four home games against Bolton.
