TEAM NOTES
Coach: Jim Jefferies (since November 2000) Premiership
Record: 5-22-11
Rank: 20th, 26 points - RELEGATED
Last Result: 0-0 tie at Coventry City, May 19
Streak: Tied 1 Already resigned to their fate, Bradford City's fans decided to have fun on their final day in the Premiership. Their mood was in stark contrast to the home supporters, still coming to terms with Coventry's relegation after 34 year's in the top flight of English football. In the end though, the Sky Blues' supporters joined in the general banter that glossed over a dour game. A few touches by Benito Carbone and Mustapha Hadji were the rare gems in an otherwise desolate spectacle. Pruning the squad for a first division budget will be the next task ahead for chairman Geoffrey Richmond and coach Jim Jefferies. Wales striker Dean Saunders, who recently retired from international football, has departed along with Billy McKinlay and Ian Nolan. To underline Bradford's poor season, Dean Windass and Benito Carbone were the club's joint top scorers with only seven goals apiece.
